Global Classmates

The 'Global Classmates' project is a joint effort that will be carried out thanks to the award granted by the Stevens Initiative, which is an international leader in virtual exchange, advocating and investing in virtual exchange opportunities for young people around the world. Their vision is for every young person to participate in a virtual exchange that prepares them to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world. The Stevens Initiative connects young people from all continents and cultures. Through virtual exchange, young people have access to important international exchange experience by collaborating and learning with their peers abroad without having to leave their communities. Recognizing the impact that virtual exchange can have and taking advantage of technological advances, the goal is to make life-changing intercultural experiences available to all young people. The participating countries will be Guatemala and the United States, under the Global Learning projects model of the iEARN organization, with iEARN United States leading the 'Global Classmates' project.

Promote the comprehensive training of Guatemalan students through the implementation of an innovative educational program that integrates technology as a transversal tool and fosters awareness of global citizenship, strengthening their capabilities to actively participate in an interconnected and diverse world.
